(please reply in German - I will understand this)

My bank has advised us to use Multicash to reduce our fees for processing Lastschrifts. But I need some advise on how to get a flat file, for example from a csv or spreadsheet format - into Multicash.

The only purpose we need multicash for is the handling of one weekly batch of Lastschrifts. Nothing else.

Via my bank I had an offer from a software company amounting to 2495€ (!!!) for a program to make it possible to import a simple flat file into Multicash and 795€ for the installation of Multicash and the conversion program on our server.

In my opinion this is an extremely high price for an extremely simple job, and I actually do not understand why Multicash itself is not able to import a simple flat file. I guess 99 out of 100 companies will do it this way. To make DTAUS files layout seems to be a bit overkill for me. And I doubt very many small companies would be able to produce a file in this layout.

Are there any programs that can do the conversion from CSV > DTAUS? (free/cheap).
Alternatively an alternative to Multicash being able to import lastschrift data in CSV format?

es gibt in MultiCash die Möglichkeite Zahlungsaufträge in Form einer txt Datei mit beliebigen Trennzeichen zu importieren..

Vorgehensweise:

- Konfiguriere zuerst die standardmäßig vorhandene IZVFIBU.WVD. Dies kanns du im Inlandszahlungsverkehr mittels: "Verwaltung >> Import/Export >> Steuerdatei definieren" und anschließender Auswahl der IZVFIBU.WVD durchführen.
- Im neuen Fenster kanns du im Register "Allgemein" Einstellungen wie - Trennzeichen, Feldnamen in 1. Zeile,... definieren. Im Register "Felder" bestimmts du an welchen Platz in deinem File welche Daten stehen. Nicht alle Felder sind Pflichtfelder - am einfachsten du erstellst manuell einen Zahlungsauftrag und siehst dir die notwendigen Felder an.

Anschließend kannst du folgendermaßen einen Auftrag importieren.

Vorgehensweise:
- Symbol "Übernahme Zahlungsauftragsdatei" oder Menü: "Funktionen >> Übernahme Zahlungsauftragsdatei".
- Auswahl bei Dateityp "Importdatei (IZVFIBU.TXT)"

Thank you very much inded Wolfes! I am pleasantly surprised that it seems to be possible to import a flat file despite the advise from the consulting firm.

What you write about setting up the filter for importing the text file seem to be pretty straight-forward, but I have not yet tried as we haven't so far installed Multicash.

To keep our expenses low, can you possibly tell if I need Multicash for our job, or if MC-Light would be sufficient? I assume MC-Light would be cheaper, and possibly also easier to install. According to my bank advisor there can be some issues in setting up Multicash, and I would prefer to save the 795,-€ for this

wir haben derzeit für unsere Kunden nur das Produkt "MultiCash" im Einsatz. Von "MC-light" kenne ich leider den Funktionsumfang nicht. In einer Beschreibung des Produktes habe ich nur die Option DTAUS/DTAZV Dateien einzulesen gefunden. Ob es auch die genannte Möglichkeit analog zum MultiCash Produkt gibt, kann dir jedoch sicher einer vom Forum hier beantworten.

The guy who tried to rip me for 2500€ has told me that I cannot install MultiCash on my server myself. This might be correct of course, but I certainly don't want to use him after the above story. My question therefore is whether it is correct that MultiCash is hard to install on your own, and if so, who could assist to set up this on a remote server outside Germany?

A bit surprised about the possible difficulty in setting up MultiCash, as you would then need external assistance if you need to change to a new server/PC.

die Installation von MultiCash selbst, ist meiner Meinung nach kein unlösbares Problem. Selbstverständlich gibt es einige Punkte die beachtet werden müssen - Probleme treten jedoch meisst nur dann auf, wenn Berechtigungen am Server nicht entsprechend gesetzt sind. Als Einstiegshilfe hat OMIKRON eine kurze Anleitung (Schnelleinstieg für
Systemadministratoren) erstellt, die im Installationssatz vorhanden ist - anhand dieser sollte einem Administrator die Installation eigentlich möglich sein!

Ein Punkt - wo wir in der Betreuung jedoch meinen, dass diese bei einer "Selbstinstallation" zu kurz kommt - ist eine individuelle Schulung. Das heisst, das Programm hat eine Vielzahl von Konfigurationsmöglichkeiten - diese werden an die Kundenbedürfnisse angepasst und das Programm und deren Funktionen dem Kunden erklärt.
Diese Informationen kann sich ein Kunde jedoch, anhand der zur Verfügung stehenden Beschreibungen (sind alle im MultiCash-Ordner mccwin\doc als PDFs abgelegt) natürlich selbst aneignen.

Auf was ich hinaus will - es ist sehr wohl möglich MultiCash selbst zu installieren, zu konfigurieren und danach zu bedienen. Mann muss sich jedoch durch die einzelnen Beschreibungen lesen - und damit rechnen, dass das System nicht nach 2 Stunden lauffähig ist.
